chocolate/sugar overdose. oreo cereal, chocolate fudge log cake, caramel crumb chocolate bar, mousse chocolate bar, bailey's fudge, kahlua fudge, chocolate mint fudge, macademia nut fudge, truffles, famous amos brownie, famous amos cookies. and all in about six hours. today was not as bad, just mousse chocolate, truffles, maple&walnut fudge, chocolate creme fudge, caramel crumb chocolate and raspberry river chocolate.

holiday homework is being well-ignored.

hope tomorrow's dinner will be nice, warm, funny and comfortable.

i fool no one.

mercredi, décembre 28

first day of orientation. woke up at SIX in the morning and looked pretty much like count dracula. administration and a million talks, i was bored to death. am in the same orientation group with joel, chifung and adrian so i expect myself to have the shit irritated out of me this entire orientation. i saw two girls donning the rgs uniform which made me annoyed because they are obviously not from rgs (through train programme) and aiyah just fuck off i think they are from dunman high. i'm pretty pissed off now because i hate people insulting my schools in any way or another which isn't friendly, be it rgs or mjc.

biyi's finally here! byebye : )

mardi, décembre 27

ate the famous hokkien mee at food republic, which we had to queue forever for, and they don't cater to special requests so i spent a lot of time and energy picking out the bean sprouts, and they don't peel the damn prawns either, and it wasn't even very nice. so please go to east coast's hokkien mee stall (43? 47? something like that) because it is nicer and it is my gramma's stall : ) the charchaobao was nice though.

anyway i am very very very very very tired of seeing girls being all broken and vulnerable for some piece of a dickshit. i think we should all become lesbians and the world will become a better place. and don't give me shit about procreation because there is such a thing as cloning now. or we could store millions of sperms. so anyone with the xy chromosome, please kindly jump off the 86th storey or take the kitchen knife and slash yourself or gas yourself in your car or something to the extent.

i'm almost as tired about reaching school at 6fucking30a.m. tomorrow. i hope the j1s won't give us a hard time. i am going to bring a book to read tomorrow or will that be rude? i don't know. i'm going to bring one anyway. i bought three new books today! i'm going to buy all the books from that series yay : ) and no, it's not gossip girl this time.

i'm eating nonstop! guess what i'm going to do now? eat yay bye.

I LOVE CHOCOLATES. I LOVE LOGCAKES. next year will be DISCIPLINED year. so before next year starts, it's totally eat-all-you-can, baby. but i am definitely getting sick of turkey and ham. well, whatever it is, i'm definitely ending the year on an extremely prosperous note.

i need to sleep now. today i was supposed to wake up around ten so i could meet sijia around noon but she called me at 1p.m. and i was still sleeping. and i need to reach school by 8.30a.m. which is a near impossibility, especially since i don't think my dad is fetching. night, world.

all i wanted for christmas was a time-turner. i will turn back time to when christmas was still magical, when the fake christmas tree seemed real, when the fairy lights looked almost untouchable, when we could see the love and the warmth and the meaning. then i will live my life knowing which mistakes i wouldn't mind doing over again and those i would not. but i sit down here and i know that it is not possible and that i have to live with it. the killers told me that everything will be alright.

anyway, i just watched harold and kumar again. i love that show! it is some funny shit. i love funny shit shows. also watched the princess diaries and sweet home alabama. sigh i am going to try to start on my work tomorrow but i can tell you that it will anything but productive. good night.

dimanche, décembre 25

merry christmas!

first christmas feast was at kexian's, second was at freeman's and today at mine! there was tonnes of food at freeman's last night! must thank him and biyi for being wonderful hosts to us! after stuffing ourselves with pasta, turkey, stew, satay (and 582749103 other foods), we settled down to drink and play stupid games (with cards and fingers). i drank quite a lot but i was strangely intoxicated yet not high at all. went to sleep while the sun was rising. my head feels heavy again today haha. just had some more turkey, ham and log cake (mmm!). i love christmas! i still have a lot of presents to make (btw i take five hours for one present, no joke) and a few more cards to write. i found photo's from joyce's 18th birthday in june! i know i am half a year late, but here goes!

us@theline

us@kexian's on 23rd

23rd was cute! minjen and xueying and i were wearing yellow! unplanned. it was the first time minjen and i were wearing yellow (besides my primary school netball shirt, that is). watched magic of love yesterday before going to freeman's. magic is funkydunky. anyway, i am sick of planes (seven flights!!!), food and alcohol, believe it or not. i was having a tough time deciding whether i should go out later and if i do what is there to do, so i was checking the papers for some movies and i came across my horoscope for today and it said, "life is good, love is grand, and all is well. except for the fact that you are really, really tired. you know how fond you are of hibernating? how about treating yourself to one of those days right now?" total cue for me to bum around at home today. anyways, i am going to try to exchange my camera. the one i have is freaking 10 megapixels but it sucks cock sometimes.

chah and i are getting excited about ideas again! all we are missing is our dongiemeishu! and maybe jill. maybe only!!! hahaha : DDD ok i need to bathe now. enjoy the remaining 2005 : ) a new year is starting soon! i am not looking forward to a year of mugging, lack of social life and testsss.

samedi, décembre 24

my head is still feeling heavy and groggy. drank too much chocolate milk just now also. mainly because i slept at 5a.m. but my mother woke me up freaking early to remind me to collect the christmas feast and she nagged some more when i asked her for more money (to take cab). but anyways i managed to ask my dad to collect it since i have a lot of things to do. last night was real fun at kexian's! ALL of us turned up : ))) the christmas feast was delicious, and we had such a fun time, everything was hilarious. then i went to falala@indochine which was SO packed. didn't take pictures at the club this time. and somehow dancing with a bag didn't feel that bad. but pictures of our gather will be up soon! for now, i have to go bathe and get ready to go for some musical. toodleloo! groggygroggy.

vendredi, décembre 23

i finally got my sat results. not fantastic at all.. 680 for critical reading + 710 for math + 610 for writing (i didn't finish my stupid essay) = 2000. i think i'll have to take it again : ( anyhow, i hope local mail without a postal code will still be delivered! i missed out on one envelope. hopefully post will arrive on time too. it is very difficult to make the christmas presents, i hope they will turn out fine. going to have tang yuan and then i'll embark on the Christmas Journey: Making Presents. i'm royally fucked for school btw. stupid homework.

the killers - everything will be alright

i believe in you and me
i'm coming to find you
if it takes me all night
wrong until you make it right
and i won't forget you
at least i'll try
and run, and run tonight

everything will be alright
everything will be alright
everything will be alright
everything will be alright

i was out shopping for a doll
to say the least, i thought i've seen them all
but then you took me by surprise
i'm dreaming 'bout those dreamy eyes
i never knew, i never knew
so take your suitcase, cos i don't mind
and baby doll, i meant it every time
you don't need to compromise
i'm dreaming 'bout those dreamy eyes
i never knew, i never knew
but it's alright

mardi, décembre 20

i'm tired.. i usually feel sleepy around 7-9p.m. mmm i love jetlag. well, i didn't go for training or to hand in logistics today because "i am in malaysia", ok? but the real reasons were 1. i wanted to sleep, 2. i wanted to deal with my sat shit. why does such shit like to happen to me? first was during the release of O level results when the whole ite application form and not being able to apply for jc thing because moe screwed up; now it appears as if i didn't register for the test at all. lovely. please pray for me.

have been watching loads of movies the past two weeks: charlie and the chocolate factory (again), dukes of hazzard, a little of must love dogs, american pie 2, corpse bride, bewitched, goal!, some of bad news bear, hide and seek and don't say a word. and tonnes of other tv shows: america's next top model, csi, 4400, and more i cannot think of right now.

i haven't touched my school work in three months! my brain is officially dead. i need to write christmas cards first : ) it's very hard coming up with a list.. the start is easy because you give to your close friends regardless of whether they celebrate christmas; then you have to think of friends and sometimes if you give one you feel obliged to give to the entire gang; then you think of those who don't like christmas; then a dilemma comes along when you want to give to some people whom you've drifted apart from or never ever close to, etc. gift lists are hard too. hummm wanted to talk about something else but 1. i forgot what it was, 2. i need to write the cards now and collect the addresses too.

wtfishcake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my sat results aren't released yet! "Although most scores are available on the first score release day, a small percentage is not." this is annoying. maybe i got zero and they are trying to figure out wtf am i so clever.

my gramma is funny! we were eating at this restaurant and she was helping to finish my mum's ribbon pasta in creamy mushroom sauce, and she asked if it was kway teow cooked with curry powder! hahaha i swear that was hilarious (especially in dialect).

a few dxo pictures..

pre-clubbing meal

happy girls

return of jill yong

mark thinks he's damn cool just because he has a tongue piercing

guys and girls

i have training tomorrow plus some ogl thing to settle.. i wish i was back in new zealand away from all these shittts. i don't feel like going for training and i don't feel like handling the logistics either. so it's time for new zealand post part two!

in new zealand you see a lot of.. sheep

and cows

my mother made me take the photo of my gramma with the greenhouse behind

check out the door on the second floor

fyi, i am on team chinleng. who's with me?

lundi, décembre 19

guess who's back!!! : ))) brace yourself for a mofoing long post!

day 1+2:

at changi airpot testing out the camera. it takes either really bright or really dark photos, and good photos are rare. i have a thousand pictures of my gramma in my camera, she's one photowhore.

after a ten-and-a-half hour flight to auckland, a domestic flight to christchurch and yet another flight, we finally reached dunedin! the sun works hard in new zealand, the sun rises around 5a.m. and sets around 10p.m.!

statue outside the airport

we went to dump our luggage bags, picked up our pizzas and headed over to my sister's for dinner and packed her really messy room. put a whole lot of good stuff outside the salvation army (which was closed), when we went back fifteen minutes later to get this weighing machine that my sister's friend wanted, all her stuff was gone already! gramma and mum went to the casino, we went to watch chronicles of narnia with my sister's friend and her friend's siblings. loads of leg room in the cinema! but tickets are priced around NZ$11.50 and they only have salty popcorn.

view from my sister's house
day 3:

graduation day!!! first we went to school for the reception..

new zealand's oldest and leading university

modern-looking part of the campus

food at the biochemistry reception

exciting reads

sister and her professor

the graduates got flowers (i forgot the name). rozana got orange (matches her bright outfit haha) and sister got a pink one! rozana (i think that's her name) wanted a picture with my "cute grandmother" (quoted) : )

my cutest ahma and rozana

us!

outside her dilapidated biochemistry building

me / sister

clock tower

big eyes / tiny eyes

my sister's best friend in school

knox church

the two mothers walking to the town hall

the street, looks like it came from one of those video games

selling skate stuff which are not cheap

then we had the parade! graduation is a big thing in town. they closed a few main roads for this march, and everyone was standing around watching and taking pictures.

give way to the procession!

police car to make way for the parade

my fellow bagpipers

flags

spotted them!

stopping for a picture

where the ceremony was held

the hall itself

going up to receive the certificate

one interesting speech punctuated with maori and a really loud "OOTAAAAGOOOOOO!" and the rest of the speeches put us to sleep.. the reception had champagne, quiche and some other food. i was starving! so we got dinner at..

where they sell good fish&chips!

chompchomp i love to eat

we got blue cod, fries, kumara (this sweet potato-like thing, in fried form) and a deep-fried moro bar : ) i lost my all-time favourite mac eyeliner : ((( it fell out of my jacket pocket.

day 4:

my purple ticket to the cadbury chocolate factory

gold ingots! not. just a mountain of crunchie.

the tour was pretty cool! but it wasn't a working day cos it was a sunday, so didn't get to see a few things (and no workers to give out MANY bars of free chocolate!). i loved this tall tower where you climb to the top and then you see TONNES of chocolate pour out to the bottom! MMM!!! just like a waterfall! cadbury drinks are yummm too.

cool cadbury car

and another one

day 5:

day 6:

my sister and i went to some bridge to do bungy jumping!!! it's SCARY SHIT! we have the dvd of us and it's absolutely hilarious! i couldn't stop laughing before my jump and my sister practically tumbled out of the gondola. WHAT an adrenaline rush!

we comforted our weak hearts and pounding heads with dunkin donuts!

winery

while we were being scared shitless, the senior citizens/le lings/LLs (as we prefer to refer to them as) went for a wine tour. i don't like the taste of wine, it's too overpowering. i tried the one they bought and i gave up after three sips.. nicole and sister drank most of it.

day 7:

we took a bus, the link, to various places! first stop: victoria park market! i haven't mentioned that my mum and grandmother LOVE souvenir shops. they HAVE to stop at every single one. anyway, after going into a few million gift shops, something else finally caught their attention..

shop selling legal weed, party pills, cigars, tobacco blahblahblah

our harvest of sins (the pack of cards is from some designer shop though)

free marijuana magazine!!!

i didn't know there was such a thing as 'legal' weed which also gives you energy and makes you happy. there are also legal party pills available in new zealand. my sister says they sell weed at some place near her school every friday. fridays must be weedays! there's a national organisation for the reform of marijuana laws (NORML NZ inc), oh and singapore was mentioned in the marijuana magazine, for the hanging of nguyen tuong van.

next stop: ponsonby! a lot of bakeries here haha. and award-winning ones at that. i think there was a best hairdresser (awarded by metro in 2005) too.

next stop: parnell! lots of designer shop sand specialised stores here, including a chocolate boutique : )

next stop: broadway! loads of shopping.. a very big route 66 and a huge supre!

very walkable places in close proximity to new world

day 9:

i was really bummed to the max when i opened my wallet and saw only S$64 inside because someone stole my money : ((( don't even know at which hotel that happened because usually i just put my wallet in my crumpler bag and stuff twenties in my jacket. i was saving most of my money for the last day! lesson well-learnt, never leave your valuables in hotel, no matter which hotel it is.

walking around the arts centre..

apparition!

we took a really long time finding the fudge cottage. there were three very cute grandmotherly ladies selling the fudge. they really look like fudge-selling grandmothers! but i didn't get a shot of them : (

outside the maori art gallery

last shopping trip!!!

my sister's skirt is shorter than mine (you can see her undies when she walks)

my mum's new jade bracelet

my mum's new shirt!

nicole's really cool because of her nicole richie shades, cute hats, wanting to bungy jump and because she wanted a handphone strap kind of thing, we chose one that says "out of range" for her!!! hahaha. she didn't join us on day 9 because she was very tired from walking far ass distances. thankfully she didn't, although lunch was really good, we took a few kilometres walk from the city centre (where lunch was at) to westfield shopping mall.. omgah wanted to die.

some of our chocolates

most of our finished food products

sister's legs and mine (i hate my knees!)

nicole and me

we bought this umbrella thinking it was huge ass..

it opened up to be very short..

and very small (lovin' the wind, man)

at christchurch airport

cute reindeer!

machines

we were trying our luck on the finding nemo toys! almost got a black one : ( we were trying to get rid of our coins. anyway the flight back to singapore took forever! three of us were separated (my sister took another flight) and i was surrounding by angmoh LLs. entertained myself during the flight with inflight entertainment, ipod, dolly magazine, sleeping, eating and going to toilet. singapore is totally hot and humid! i swear i could feel the water vapour as i stepped out of the airport. anyway it was pretty fun despite the high blood pressure from arguments with my mum, the eyeliner and my money. ok must get my eyeliner replaced asap! anyway managed to retrieve this post because mozilla firefox was slow in refreshing but i still took a long time to complete everything because of font problems. i triumph over blogger! off to meet my lovely sijia now : )
